Update on Ponderosa Tr Wash re-alignment

Post by QuadBob on Sat Nov 10, 2007 11:41 pm

Update on Ponderosa Tr Wash re-alignment.

Getting rid of that twisting dip, wider road, and less steep grade in the wash will be a huge improvemnt during winter driving for all of us that use ponderosa tr

We have the culverts, you may have seen them beside my driveway, and now moved to by the house (to keep an eye on them). I cut one into two, so we will end up with (2) 30 foot by 24" culverts. (They cost a bit more than I had hoped, but we got'em!) Dave has the power company coming out to determine definitively what will be done with our problem phone pole in the bottom of the wash. Soon as we get the phone pole problem resolved, we will get the culverts place, whack some trees, and get see what we can do to get the grading started.

We request at this time, no additional fix work be done in that (existing) area, as we'd like efforts to be placed in the new area.

Soon as we get the pole fixed, I'll call Peterson and hopefully we will be able to coordnate work toward completion as he is working on the maintenance...

Road Work to Start Monday 11/19/07

Post by rbarh on Sun Nov 18, 2007 8:29 pm

Tony Peterson will be starting tomorrow, 11/19/07. I advised him to not do any work on the Ponderosa wash area and that those inolved would be contacting him.

Hello!

How about an update about the moving of the power pole!

I finally did find my way into this forum.

What happened to the second exit committee? I posted a comment a long long time ago. There must be other committee members that have an idea for that second exit.

hi, well, Dave got all the Pole work done, and from pictures I have seen, trees have been cleared. I believe some rough grading will be taking place soon... with any luck, we may have that area fixed prior to winter, less folks to be pull out of there will be nice...

dont know about anything else.. have not heard much since the last email a while back. qb

Yes, the road is done. Just for the record, the cost of that road work was carried by the landowners adjacent to that section of road: Paul Messinger, Dave Kuner, Bob Miller, and Tom Werner. The road is in good enough shape for the road Committee to take over any maintenance issues in the future, as was done with the old alignment. Hopefully the new road will be much easier and safer to use, especially for those travelling in Winter.
