Moving a road? where when...??

Would like to know more about this topic...just purchased an acre in Section 31 only to find out that the road needs to be moved.

Well, that is always an interesting topic... needs moved, is a point of view i would guess... most roads in 31 are not in places most of us consider correct... now, there is not really a correct place, other than the utility easements that exist, and 99% of us would like to have the roads in the existing utility easements. now that being said, no one needs to move a road, several of us WANT to move a road. Process? Well, get all adjoining neighbors that the property of the road contacts, all agree on where to move it, when, and who pays how much... it's just that easy.. (laughing to my self here). If it were just that simple, but really it is. if all property owners agree (in the areas you are moving from too..) ya just put out bids, (contact local road guys), we have a list. We are going with Peterson's for general maint, and he does great work. the basic rule for this is.. road should be as good as or better than currently exist. that's really about it... Good luck getting all the adjoining owners lined up. Think i covered the highlights, if not, I'll be corrected... Thanks, QB
